Newsletters

Over the years, there have been many local residents who have written regular material on Long Grove’s History. Copies of these efforts from more modern times are available below. It’s a lot of material, so a bit of a work in process – it’ll take us some time to get all we have loaded up onto this page. These newsletter/column efforts were edited by Society Member Aaron Underwood, so email [email protected]  if you feel the need to reprimand the occasional casual tone and warped sense of humor.

The Long Grove Historical Society’s Quarterly Newsletter, called the Long Grove Times, began in September 2008. It was printed and mailed to Society Members through the March, 2017 edition.

Long Grove Times Online – Beginning in June, 2017 the newsletter was moved to an online format and links to those editions are shown below. That effort was short lived and was discontinued in favor of putting the effort into the Long Grove Living column below.

Long Grove Living Monthly History Column – A local monthly “societal” magazine called Long Grove Living (later renamed Long Grove Stroll) debuted in March of 2013. It featured a column on Long Grove History. This column appeared monthly up to September of 2021.
