Office of the Dog Mayor
Dear Dog Mayor Candidates and Campaign Managers,
Just when we thought things were slowing down in our Dog Mayor contest, a surge in voting over the last couple of days has resulted in a new dog in the current lead. Congratulations, Yogi, those campaign buttons must really be working. But don’t get too confident just yet, because Holly is only trailing by two tiny votes!
Update #5, Week of July 19th
Here are the details on our Candidates Meet & Greet event, scheduled for Sunday, August 1st, 3:00 to 4:00:
The event will be held at Brother’s Field, next to Fred Astaire Dance Studio in downtown Long Grove. This is located off the Stemple Parking Lot, across from the Chatterbox. Please arrive between 2:30 and 2:45 and we will greet you under the tent. A podium with flags, the official dog mayor seal, and patriotic music will set the scene for your photo op and words of wisdom to your supporters. Word has it that dog treats will be on hand for all canine participants. Invite your friends, family and neighbors! Participation is optional, but we hope you will consider joining in on the fun. Campaign buttons and posters are welcomed.
Cheers to all of our candidates for allowing us to have so much fun with our first-ever Dog Mayor contest. Can’t wait to see what surprises next week will bring!
Sincerely,
Angie Underwood,
Long Grove Historical Society
Dog Mayor Chief of Staff
