To honor the 50th Anniversary of the Long Grove Historical Society, a special piece of artwork has been created by local artist and Historical Society member, Marie Roth. The beautiful birdhouse replica of the Long Grove Covered Bridge (shown pictured) is made out of wood scraps salvaged from the original bridge covering. This unique piece of Long Grove History could be yours for the price of a $5 raffle ticket, with all proceeds going to the Historical Society. Tickets can be purchased at Vintage Days and Irish Days festivals, or you can purchase them online below:

The winning ticket will be pulled on Sunday, September 15th at the 50th Anniversary Barn Dance Celebration, held at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Long Grove. This free, family-friendly event will run from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and feature refreshments and line dancing. Raffle tickets will also be sold at the door. The entire community is invited to celebrate!

You don’t have to be present to win. For the winner, there’s no charge for delivering the bird house to you in Long Grove, out of town winners, would need to arrange for pick up or pay for out of town shipping.

The Long Grove Historical Society is run entirely on community donations and volunteer efforts. Since 1974, this 501c3 charitable organization has served to preserve and share our local history.
