Office of the Dog Mayor
Dear Dog Mayor Candidates and Campaign Managers,
Thank you so much for entering our first-ever Dog Mayor contest, and for supporting the Long Grove Historical Society! This will be the first of six weekly emails to all the candidates, from now until the election ends in early August. As of today we have 11 adorable canine candidates on the ballot, with more expected to join in the coming days.
My name is Angie Underwood, and I will be serving as the Chief of Staff to the newly elected Dog Mayor. I will work with the new Mayor and his/her family to schedule fun activities and special events in the community, handle press releases & publicity, help write speeches/proclamations…..whatever is necessary to assist the Dog Mayor in the carrying out of fun “duties” in the next year. As a past Long Grove Village President I feel qualified and privileged to help our incoming Dog Mayor transition into the role with ease. And maybe even supply some campaign tips! For now, I am serving to communicate and coordinate with all the candidates, so feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns or ideas you might have as the campaign continues.
Update #1, Week of June 21st
Just a reminder this week that you can add extra pictures and text, slogans, or a story to your candidate profile. These will be seen on your campaign page by all who go to vote. To do this, just forward the items by email to: aaron@longgrovehistory.org.
Good luck to you all! Have a great week ahead and know that we are grateful that you are a part of our fundraiser.
Sincerely,
Angie Underwood,
Long Grove Historical Society
Dog Mayor Chief of Staff
